A local family business
Matches Machinery Hire started in 2025, hiring earthmoving equipment to builders, contractors and property owners across the 1770 & surrounding areas.
Why we started
Getting a machine out to this part of the coast has never been simple. The bigger hire yards are in Bundaberg or Gladstone, which means a long tow, a full day lost, or a delivery fee that costs more than the hire itself.
Matches Machinery Hire exists to fix that for the 1770 & surrounding areas. One well-kept machine, based locally, hired out at a fair rate by someone who answers his own phone.
We are a family business and a new one, established in 2025. What we can promise is that the equipment is properly looked after, the advice is honest, and you are dealing with the person who owns it rather than a call centre.

We deliver across the 1770 & surrounding areas, or you're welcome to collect the machine from Taunton. Areas we cover include:

How we work
What you can expect
The machine is maintained
It gets checked between hires: greasing, fluids, tracks and teeth. A machine that breaks down on your job costs you a day, so it is worth doing properly.
You talk to the owner
Ring the number and you get Dave. He knows the machine, knows the area, and will tell you if it is not the right tool for what you are doing.
We are local
Based in Taunton and working across the 1770 & surrounding areas. Short distances mean delivery is straightforward, and if you'd rather collect the machine yourself, that's a short run too.
Want to talk it through?
Give Dave a call. He'd rather spend five minutes on the phone working out whether the machine suits your job than have you hire the wrong thing.
By arrangement. Call to confirm times that suit your job.
